Facilitation & Psycomedy

Whilst most of our work is entertainment based, we have also translated our skills to work in a professional training context.

We offer bespoke workshops for youth groups, organisations, charities or any organised group who are looking to enable open discussions and debate around difficult subjects such as sex, consent, exploitation, discrimination and politics.

Sally (a counsellor and facilitator as well as a theatre maker) and Kyla (an established writer, director and community group leader) have been developing an intuitive practice combining non-threatening (often humorous and trifle flavoured) theatre exercises with group facilitation to bring into the open any fears, assumptions and judgments (conscious & unconscious).  Some clients have also commissioned specifically written short plays or sketches to be performed (using a professional cast) and workshopped using Forum Theatre and role playc(Augusto Boal) techniques.

This strand of our work began when we teamed up with Dr. Emily Jane (Useful Psychology), an educational psychologist and psychotherapists, who specialises in PACE (Dan Hughes) & attachment therapies, to creatively communicate her psychological ideas using theatre. Clients include; WILD Young Parents Project Cornwall (https://www.wildproject.org.uk), Cornwall Social Care (Social workers, youth workers, police, health care professionals, foster parents), Carefree Cornwall (www.carefreecornwall.org.uk) & Useful Psychology.
