A CURIOUS EVENING OF TRANCE AND RAP WITH THE OGDEN SISTERS ‐ 2012 & 2013

This original piece of work is an intimate theatrical experience looking into the intriguing world of mediums and the origins of the spiritualist movement.

Travelling back in time to a darkened room in 1892, brave, hand-picked observers donned their bonnets and beards to join the world famous Ogden Sisters at their table. The sprit seekers embarked on a surprising journey where they fed on cottage pie, were shot at by Anatolians and witnessed the power of trance dance.

This dark tale of 3 broken sisters toured the U.K 3 times to huge acclaim. Co-written and directed by Nick Whitby (Smack the Pony, Ch4) and Kyla Goodey

The List

The belly laughs from the audience are testament to the potential of this daft bunch

Crackerjack

With tongues firmly in cheeks like a trio of female Tommy Coopers ( with a bit of League of Gentlemen) Trifle Gathering’s Victorian spoof is to be savoured in the moment like ectoplasmic candyfloss.

Venue Magazine

The three "ladies" are skilled performers and give 110% to their characters and to their material.
It’s full of invention, packed with verbal, physical and prop gags. The performers are strong comedic performers.
